Logan on the Issues
-
Our tax systems should work with working families as the priority. I support repealing tax breaks for the wealthy and will work for fair property tax reform that protects property owners without cutting vital public services.
-
Housing costs in Belgrade are too high. Families find themselves unable to afford a home or live the full lives their parents could on two incomes, let alone one. I support easing burdensome government regulations and building responsible affordable housing so that more folks can raise their families in the community they love.
-
Montana’s public lands are our greatest resource and shared heritage as Montanans. I oppose any effort which may result in public lands being transferred to private ownership. Development and use of our natural resources should be pursued with a clean and healthy environment as the priority. I support pursuing clean and renewable energy technologies that will both protect our environment and put Montana on a competitive footing in the energy economy.

As a former public school teacher, I know all too well the challenges facing our public schools. All people have the right to a quality education. I will work to find solutions to the many funding challenges facing our public schools and educators, with the goal of competitive salaries for teachers, quality infrastructure, and excellent resources for students and their families.

Healthcare costs can be crushing. Many folks are one bad diagnosis away from financial devastation. I support policies which seek to ease costs while retaining the highest level of talent in our clinics and hospitals. Access to healthcare for folks living in rural areas is especially dire. I will work to find ways to expand access to health care across Montana.
-
As Montana continues to grow in population, it is vital that our community infrastructure keeps up. I will work to ensure that our roads, railways, bridges, and intersections get people and goods where they need to go with minimal frustration. I will explore ways to create affordable and useful public transportation in our community.
-
All people have the right to make their own healthcare decisions, free of interference from their government. I will work to preserve Montanans’ access to family planning and safe abortion services.
-
The right to organize in the workplace is non-negotiable. Workers deserve to have a say in their wages and working conditions. The modern labor movement has deep ties to Montana history, and proudly so.
-
All Montanans deserve to be treated with respect. I oppose any and all policies which discriminate against LGBTQ+ Montanans in their public, private, or professional lives.
